McCain vs. Palin

Here’s an idea for a debate. Let’s get John McCain and Governor Palin to debate one another. They should have plenty to argue about. After all, they are on opposite sides on several issues.

Stem cell research: McCain For; Palin Against; More…
Allow abortion in cases of rape, incest: McCain For; Palin Against; More…
The use of school vouchers: McCain For; Palin Against; More…
Drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge: McCain Against; Palin For; More
Protecting polar bears: McCain For; Palin Against; More…
Windfall profit tax on oil companies: McCain Against; Palin For; More…
Real ID: McCain For; Palin Against; More…
Teaching creationism in our schools: McCain For/Against; Palin For; More…

It makes you wonder, with this many issues separating them, if they could be elected, whose agenda would drive policy decisions in the White House?

Five Questions for Sam Brownback

On January 30, 2007 Sam Brownback was nice enough to give me 8 minutes of his time. Senator Brownback named as his top priorities:

  1. A flat tax
  2. Privatizing Social Security
  3. A culture of life - i.e., pro-life
  4. Supporting marriage – against gay marriage
  5. Curing cancer in the next 10 years

I also asked about Extraordinary Rendition and the death penalty. You can see the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UazlxBIdYUY
